New President for Champagne Lanson

François Van Aal has been appointed President of Champagne Lanson.

Van Aal has held roles in advertising and luxury goods marketing, and most recently spent 23 years in a series of senior positions at Rémy-Cointreau.

He replaces Philippe Baijot who announced his intention to retirement several months ago.

Founded in 1760 in Reims, the House of Champagne Lanson is famed for its“Lanson Black Label”. Lanson exports three quarters of its production to 80 countries worldwide, holding particularly strong positions in the United Kingdom where the House has held a Royal Warrant continuously since 1900, awarded by Queen Victoria.

The Champagne house announced last February that it was bringing a larger range to Australia.

Champagne Lanson signed an agreement with the network of distributors ‘Wine DNA’ including Young & Rashleigh Wine Merchants for NSW, Cuttings Wines for Queensland, Sante Wines for Victoria and Options Wines for South Australia.

The expanded range includes many that are exclusive to the on-premise, such as Lanson Père et Fils Brut NV, Lanson Green Label Organic Brut NV and Clos Lanson Vintage 2006.

Lanson Père et Fils Brut NV has taken out a swag of awards, including accolades from Sydney International Wine Competition and Melbourne International Wine Competition.
