Kollaras releases Mo-Town range

Kollaras & Co is celebrating the release of its new Mo-Town wine range.

Mo-Town taps into a alternative, hipster vibe to create wines “for those who value the different”.

The company notes: “With the confidence only those from the heart of Australian wine country can muster, Mo-Town throws out the rule book and steps left of centre.”

The range is already winning raves – Sam Kim from Wine Orbit has rated Mo-Town Shiraz at 91 points and the Pinot Noir at 90 points.

He described the shiraz as “sweetly fruited and immediately appealing”.

“The wine shows lifted aromas of dark plum, cranberry, vanilla, hazelnut and warm spice on the nose, followed by a succulent palate that is elegantly weighted and lingering,” Kim said. “It is supple, smooth and plump, offering pristine fruit flavours together with gentle spicy complexity.”

Meanwhile, the pinot noir was “delightfully fruited and fragrant”.

“The wine shows lifted aromas of dark cherry, red plum, mixed spice, almond and game on the nose, leading to a juicy palate that is supple and smooth. The wine offers sweet berry flavours together with fine texture and polished tannins, finishing long and succulent.”

Priced at $15 a bottle, Mo-Town is available exclusively at independent bottle shops around Australia.
