Just when you thought you’d heard it all when it comes to flavoured beers, Blackman’s Brewery has unveiled a Frosty Fruit Gose.

“The Frosty Fruit Gose is a fun and tropical Gose, loaded up with 40 boxes of Frosty Fruits icy poles, Torquay sea water and dry hopped with some tropical US Hops,” the Blackman’s team said on Facebook.

The beer is well timed to refresh thirsts following Australia’s hottest January on record. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the mean temperature for January averaged across the country exceeded 30C — the first time this has ever occurred in any month.

Kegs of the beer will be tapped at the Blackman’s Brewery bars in both Torquay and Geelong today, with the seasonal brew only available for a limited time.

It’s not the first exotically-flavoured brew from Blackman’s Brewery, past seasonal releases have included an espresso martini Kolsch, a smoked beetroot saison and even a snail-infused Gose.
